Ramones played the Granada Theater in Kansas City, Kansas. Mark Gilman shot some Super-8 footage with sound and it's a great portrait of how powerful of a live act the band was.
Sadly, there are only about 7 songs as he was caught and had to stop filming.
I've always considered footage from Joey's pre-Ramones band Sniper to be Holy Grail material. Well someone has found and posted some! Gaston Ramone on Youtube posted the footage earlier this month. The footage is marked as being from The Underground Tonight Show in 1973. Watch it below.
1- I Just Want To Have Something To Do 2- I Don't Wanna Go Down To The Basement 3- I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You 4- Beat On The Brat 5- Garden of Serenity 6- Blitzkrieg Bop 7- Surfin Bird
We've Got The Airwaves is a feature length, non-commercial, fan produced video scrapbook that follows the Ramones from their early days in New York City all the way to their induction in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. On their journey we'll watch interviews, live performances, music videos, television appearances and some other special treats. If you enjoy this video share it and more importantly buy the music. Also consider making a donation to the Joey Ramone Foundation for Lymphoma Research and/or the Johnny and Linda Ramone Foundation.
We are members from different popular rock groups who have come together to make music to help raise funds for specific global needs.
For this specific fundraiser we collaborated from our homes during the Covid-19 lockdown. Through sending our recordings and videos to each other we have compiled a recording and video of a Ramones' song called "I Believe in Miracles"
This is a very special punk-rock song and we hope that it brings positivity to people's live at this difficult time.
We are also raising funds for the Partners In Health Covid-19 charity.
Our motto is simple: "Watch our video. If you enjoy it, please donate. If you're not in the position to give, share it with someone that is"
